Cold and Blustery on 2/4/2010

The forecasted snow did not materialize last night. Instead, a cold rain fell followed by a cold, windy, blustery day with wind chill at 32 F. Everyone is complaining about the cold and staying inside. The skies are mostly a leaden gray with occasional clearing.

Wind-related power outages were reported in Samaria.

The snow forecast for Jerusalem did not materialize last night or today. Instead, hail pelted the city. Snow is still in the forecast for Mitzpe Ramon for the night of Feb. 4. A light drizzle fell late this afternoon, making the streets wet and slick. Winds were still very high with gusts to 20 mph. The air was very cold, with a wind chill to 31 F.
